SMS/RCS Terms and Conditions
Program description
InherisAI, Inc. operates the Inheris platform, which connects donors with people seeking mental health care through the InherisAI Mental Health Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable program, and works with the providers who deliver that care. If you provide your phone number to Inheris and ask to receive messages by SMS or RCS (rich messaging, where supported by your device and carrier), we may send you account and program notifications by either channel, including: a note that a new message of gratitude is waiting on your donor page, an update on a Care Award application, an acknowledgment of a gift, or a notice about your provider account. Some messages relay anonymized communication between award recipients and the donors who fund them; every relayed message is reviewed by Inheris staff before it is sent, and identifying information is removed to protect the privacy of everyone involved.
Consent
You receive SMS or RCS messages from this program only if you have provided your phone number to Inheris and asked to receive messages this way. Consent to receive SMS or RCS messages is not a condition of receiving an Inheris Care Award, making a donation, or maintaining a provider account. Consent may be revoked at any time.
How to start receiving messages
You start receiving messages from us only by asking for them, and only by an action you take yourself — we never add a number on our own. Turn on “Text message (SMS)” in your communication preferences, or tick the optional “Text me about my application” box on the Inheris Care Award consent form. Both are off by default and you must actively turn them on.
Beside each control, before you turn it on, we state what messages you are consenting to receive, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Consent is specifically for SMS text messages, it is never a condition of receiving a Care Award, and we record when and how you gave it.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies by program and by the messages exchanged between you and the person on the other side of a relay. Most participants receive only a few messages per month.
Fees
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan, for both SMS and RCS messages. Inheris does not charge for these messages.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any SMS or RCS message to cancel and stop receiving messages from Inheris on that channel. After you send STOP, you will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.

Carriers
SMS is supported on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most major US carriers. RCS is supported where your device and carrier both support Rich Communication Services; if RCS is unavailable, messages may be delivered by SMS instead. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Phone numbers and messaging consent are used only to operate these programs. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
